We are the Burchams and we love DOGS!

From the beginning our biggest dream has been to one day own a farm where we could use the pastures and barns as an alternative to kennel boarding as well as have a place to house animals in need.

It took several life changing moves, flipping homes, taking chances, major career changes and having a whole lot of faith to get here, but with help from family and friends and by the grace of God - we did it.

Its been a long journey.

 Before we were married we both had dogs in our lives from a young age. While dating and after marriage we continued to help save and rescue dogs together-Some have passed but 10 of the 12 dogs we have rescued along the way are here with us on the Dog Plantation.

We founded South Paws Dog Plantation to meet two needs for animals and animal lovers:

1-Give loving pet owners a place for daycare / boarding in a safe, playful, open air farm environment. 

2-Use the Dog Plantation as a facility to save, rehabilitate, and re-home abused and forgotten dogs in need.

As pet owners we have had to leave town before and board our dogs and we understand there is no better feeling than to know your pup is safe and you can relax and enjoy your vacation etc. Come and see us for a tour at South Paws Dog Plantation!
